Secure Sign On
Washington Trust Bank is implementing an additional security feature known as Secure
Sign On to verify your identity when you access online banking services and further
protect your information and transactions. In addition to Company ID, User ID and
Password, each Company User will be asked to answer a few questions, select a private
image and register their computer.
Set-up Your
Secure Sign On (Beginning March 8, 2007)
- Sign on to eBusiness Express using your existing Company ID, User ID and
Password.
- Create a personal phrase and choose a private picture.
- Select your four challenge questions.
- Register your computer by following the instructions on your screen.

Highest possible encryption
To access eBusiness Express, you must use a 128-bit browser; this provides the highest level of online security available for non-military applications.
128-bit encryption is available on the two most popular browsers, Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. The recommended browsers for use with eBusiness Express are generally the most recent version and one prior of the following browser types: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Firefox. Support for new browsers and browser versions will generally be accomplished as they become publicly adopted.
Secure communications
Our system is designed so that data is encrypted as it travels to and from your PC. Encryption is accomplished through a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which has become one of the de facto standards for encryption on the Internet. SSL encryption makes it difficult for unauthorized individuals to decipher your sensitive financial information. Using a browser with 128-bit encryption, assures you of the highest possible encryption level.
Secure Login
For your security, you must enter a company ID, user ID, and password to access your account. The password you enter displays as asterisks, so no one else can see it, and the information you send is encrypted before leaving your computer.
Our firewall protects your transactions
For additional safety, the eBusiness Express web site connects to the Internet through a firewall, which is a combination of software and hardware products that control access others may have to this site. In most circumstances, firewalls are set up to allow only authenticated users to send or receive transactions.
Automated Time Out
To help prevent unauthorized access to your account, your session on the eBusiness Express web site will end automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.
