Prior to joining Washington Trust Bank in August 2006, Linda was a senior executive with U.S. Trust. She has a strong background of leadership in all phases of private banking, commercial banking and commercial real estate financing. In addition to her management role at U.S. Trust, Linda has also held executive leadership positions with Key Bank, First Interstate Bank of Oregon, and its successor, Wells Fargo Bank of Oregon.

Williams' leadership in local community affairs fits well with Washington Trust Bank's strong commitment to civic and philanthropic organizations in Oregon and Southwest Washington. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Oregon Sports Authority and its foundation the Oregon Symphony and is a chair of the Arlington Club Finance Committee.  She is past chair of the YMCA of the Columbia-Willamette and a past trustee of the Multnomah Athletic Club and its charitable foundation.
