Here's the information you need to gather when applying for a home loan:
  • IRS W-2 or 1099 forms for the past two years for all income earners.
  • The most recent pay stub for all income earners. Social Security recipients should bring their awards letters and retirees must bring income information.
  • On a case by case basis, some self-employed borrowers will be required to provide two years of corporation or partnership returns.
  • The most recent two months' bank statements, both checking and savings for all accounts.
  • Recorded divorce decree or bankruptcy papers, if applicable.
  • A copy of your sales contract.
If you are a VA buyer, we will also need:
  • Certificate of Eligibility
  • If you do not have a Certificate of Eligibility, you will need to bring a copy of your DD-214 or Statement of Service so we can apply for a Certificate of Eligibility.
