As Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, Gayle is responsible for providing custom investment and risk-management strategies and solutions for clients with complex financial needs.

She also manages the equity portfolio strategies for our Wealth Management and Trust clients.

Gayle has far-reaching investment industry experience that includes positions at some of the world's most respected Wall Street investment banks.

She began her investment career at Washington Trust Bank in 1988, working with fixed-income and equity securities in the Trust and Investment Services Division. In 1990, Gayle moved to New York and began her Wall Street career, joining C.J. Lawrence/Deutsche Bank Securities as a security analyst.

In 1994, Gayle moved to Bear Stearns Asset Management as Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager/Analyst for a mutual fund and hedge fund, with assets totaling approximately $250 million.

In December 1996, she was promoted to Portfolio Manager and co-managed approximately $150 million in assets (institutional and high net-worth individuals). In September 1998, Gayle became a Senior Analyst at Deutsche Banc Alex, Brown.

She re-joined Washington Trust's Wealth Management & Advisory Services Group in October, 2001. Gayle is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst candidate, holds NASD Series 7 and 63 licenses, and is a member of the Washington Trust Bank Trust Investment Committee.
