Spokane, Wash. – Washington Trust Bank, the largest privately held full-service commercial bank in the Northwest, has been named the top bank in Washington by Forbes. America’s Best-in-State Banks 2024, now in its seventh year, is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on June 18 and can be viewed on the Forbes website. As with all Forbes lists, banks didn’t pay a fee to participate or be selected.
“For over 120 years Washington Trust Bank’s priority has been our customers, and this award provides further recognition of that priority and the deep relationships our team members have built in their communities,” said Jim Branson, COO at Washington Trust Bank. “Every day our employees help customers achieve their financial goals, from saving for their futures, buying a home, starting a business, and everything in between.”
America’s Best-In-State Banks 2024 ranking lists the institutions that stood out for fulfilling the unique financial needs and expectations of their local communities, thereby being most valued by residents of each state. Forbes and Statista created Best-in-State Banks 2024 based on an independent survey of approximately 26,000 US consumers. Participants were asked to name all banks where they currently have — and previously had — a checking/savings account and rate it in six different areas: customer service, the quality of financial advice offered by representatives, fee structures, ease of navigating digital services and accessing help at branch locations, and the degree of trust the financial institutions inspired.
